All year round, Carmen’s Riding School offers lessons for people of all ages and abilities.

Treks for individuals or small groups are also offered at all times. The maximum number of people we can take on a trek is 4.

As of 2025, we no longer offer treks to our local beaches. All the beaches have steep, rocky approaches and are therefore difficult to navigate for the horses. So for safety reasons, beachttreks are no longer available.

You can still go for a one hour stroll on quiet country roads, at times overlooking the Estuary and experiencing the peace and quiet of the area. This kind of trek would be most suitable for beginners.

Other than that there are several different trails around Querrin / Doonaha that can be explored on 1 or 2 hour treks. If you are an experienced rider and feel very adventurous, you can go for a 3 to 4 hour trek to Kilkee and along the cliffs overlooking the Atlantic. This trek is subject to availability and has to be booked well in advance.

Any trek that brings you close to the shore will let you experience the variety of birds that are to be found around Querrin.

During the holidays at Easter, Halloween and during the summer we offer pony camps as well.
