Pony camps

Pony camps!!!

Don’t miss our pony camps this summer! It’s a great way to spend some time outdoors and it’s very safe as everything is happening outside.

During camps, the children get to interact with all the animals at the riding school and learn how to treat them with respect while being respected by the animals themselves. There are the ponies and horses, 2 goats, 8 cats, 19 chickens and 4 dogs.

Pony camps are a fun way to learn more about horses and ponies. The children get to groom the horses, which is a great way to find out where a pony likes to be scratched and petted and where they rather wouldn’t be touched. It also teaches children basics about horse anatomy. They also learn how horses communicate through body language.

Children also learn basics about feeding horses and caring for them. A big part of caring for horses is picking up horsepoop! So getting a bit mucky and dirty can’t be avoided.

Last but not least the children learn how to tack up ponies and how to ride. For beginners it’s an introduction to horseriding, for those who have ridden before it’s a week of intensive practising.
