All year round, Carmen’s Riding School offers lessons for people of all ages and abilities.

Treks for individuals or groups are also offered at all times.

That can be a one hour stroll on quiet country roads, at times overlooking the Estuary and experiencing the peace and quiet of the area. This kind of trek would be most suitable for beginners. It’s possible to go for a leisurely trek to the closest beach, this would take about an hour and a half.

If you want to go a bit faster and further, there are 2 beaches not too far away where it is possible to go for a canter when the tide is out. Due to this dependence on the tides it is essential to book in advance.

Other than that there are several different trails around Querrin / Doonaha that can be explored on 1 or 2 hour treks. If you are an experienced rider and feel very adventurous, you can go for a 3 to 4 hour trek to Kilkee and along the cliffs overlooking the Atlantic. This trek has to be booked in advance as well, especially during the summer when the riding school is very busy.

During the holidays at Easter, Halloween and during the summer we offer pony camps as well.
